This Subscriber Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between WBN News Corp Inc.™ ("WBN," "we," "our," or "us") and every individual or organisation ("you," "subscriber") who registers for, accesses, or uses any WBN subscription service — whether free, paid, or premium.
This Agreement applies to all WBN subscription products and services, including WBN News subscriptions, premium membership tiers, AI Edition access, newsletters, alerts, digital publications, intelligence feeds, and any future subscription offerings WBN develops. By creating a subscriber account or activating any WBN subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
If you are subscribing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to this Agreement, and references to "you" include both you personally and the organisation you represent.
WBN offers a range of subscription services designed to deliver news, intelligence, analysis, and digital tools to our audiences. The specific services available, their features, and their pricing are described at the point of subscription and on WBN's subscription pages. WBN's subscription offering is expected to evolve over time as we develop new products and refine existing ones.
Access to WBN's subscription services requires a registered subscriber account. Your account is personal to you and is the key to managing your subscription, preferences, and communications with WBN.
You create your subscriber account by providing the information requested during the registration process. You must be at least 18 years of age — or the age of majority in your jurisdiction — to create a subscriber account. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. Providing false or misleading information is a breach of this Agreement.
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and current — including your name, email address, payment details, and any other information associated with your subscription. Outdated or inaccurate information may result in billing failures, missed communications, or inability to access your subscription. Update your details promptly through your account settings or by contacting subscribers@wbnn.news.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Use a strong, unique password for your WBN account. Enable multi-factor authentication where available — we strongly recommend it. Do not share your login credentials with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, regardless of whether you personally authorised it. If you suspect that your account has been accessed without your permission, notify us immediately at security@wbnn.news.
Each individual subscriber is entitled to one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription restrictions, access controls, or billing obligations is a breach of this Agreement and may result in all affected accounts being suspended or terminated.
The specific benefits associated with each WBN subscription tier are described at the point of subscription and on WBN's subscription pages. Benefits vary by tier and may include access to exclusive editorial content, intelligence products, AI-powered tools, dashboards, archived content, newsletter editions, events, and other features as described for your specific subscription.
WBN is an evolving media and technology platform. Subscription benefits may change over time as we introduce new products, retire features, improve our platforms, or respond to changes in the media and technology landscape. Where we make changes that materially reduce the benefits of a paid subscription, we will provide advance notice as described in Section 14. We may also add new features and benefits to existing subscription tiers at any time — additions that enhance your subscription do not require advance notice.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on the cycle you selected at the time of subscription — monthly, annually, or as otherwise specified. Your first billing period begins on the date your paid subscription is activated. Subsequent billing periods begin automatically on the same date in the following month or year, depending on your cycle.
WBN accepts payment methods as described on our subscription pages at the time of your subscription. Payment is processed by our trusted third-party payment processors. WBN does not store your complete payment card details — these are handled securely by our payment providers in accordance with applicable payment security standards. By subscribing, you authorise WBN and its payment providers to charge your selected payment method for the subscription fees applicable to your plan.
Unless you cancel your subscription before the end of your current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew for a further period of the same duration at the then-current price for your plan. We will send you a renewal reminder before each renewal date so that you have the opportunity to review your subscription and cancel if you wish to do so. Cancellation instructions are set out in Section 6.
WBN may change the price of its subscription plans from time to time. Where a price increase affects your current subscription, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice by email before the new price takes effect on your account. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect. Continued use of your subscription after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Subscription prices may be exclusive of applicable taxes — including sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar taxes — depending on your location. Where applicable, taxes will be added to your subscription price and shown on your billing notification before payment is charged. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your subscription under the laws of your jurisdiction.
If a payment fails — due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or any other reason — WBN will attempt to notify you promptly and may make additional payment attempts. During a period of payment failure, your access to paid subscription features may be suspended until payment is successfully processed. If payment remains outstanding for a period WBN considers material, your subscription may be terminated and your account transitioned to free-tier access or closed.
Subscription prices are stated in the currency shown at the time of purchase. Where your payment method is denominated in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply conversion rates and may charge currency conversion fees. WBN is not responsible for currency conversion costs applied by your bank or payment provider.
You can view, manage, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting subscribers@wbnn.news. Changes to your subscription take effect as described below.
If you upgrade to a higher subscription tier mid-cycle, the new tier takes effect immediately. Where an upgrade involves a price difference, WBN calculates a prorated charge for the remainder of your current billing period and applies it to your next payment, or charges it immediately depending on the billing method. The exact proration approach applicable to your upgrade will be confirmed before the upgrade is finalised.
If you downgrade to a lower subscription tier, the downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your existing tier's benefits until the end of that period. No refund is provided for the unused portion of a higher-tier subscription when downgrading, unless required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to your subscription benefits until that date. To cancel, use the cancellation option in your account settings or contact subscribers@wbnn.news. We will confirm your cancellation by email. Cancelling your subscription does not delete your WBN account — you may continue to use WBN on a free-tier basis unless you also close your account.
Upon cancellation, your access to paid subscription features ends at the conclusion of your current billing period. Content you have saved, preferences you have configured, and your account history remain accessible at the free tier where applicable. Any outstanding payment obligations incurred before cancellation remain due and payable.
WBN's general policy is that subscription fees paid for completed billing periods are non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction or where a billing error has occurred.
Where you are entitled to a refund under applicable law — for example, under statutory cooling-off rights applicable in your country — WBN will honour those rights in full. If you believe you have been billed incorrectly or have a legitimate refund claim, contact subscribers@wbnn.news with your account details and a description of the issue. We investigate all billing concerns promptly and will confirm the outcome in writing.
Where a refund is agreed or required, we will process it to the original payment method within a reasonable period, subject to the processing times of our payment providers. We do not provide refunds in cash or alternative payment methods.
Your subscription gives you personal access to WBN's subscription services. It does not entitle you to use those services in ways that harm WBN, other subscribers, or third parties — or that exceed the scope of the access you have subscribed for.
- Lawful use. You must use your WBN subscription for lawful purposes only. You must not use your subscription in any way that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or breaches WBN's Community Guidelines.
- No account sharing. Your subscription is personal and non-transferable. You must not share your account credentials with other individuals or allow third parties to access WBN's subscription services through your account. Enterprise and team subscriptions that include multiple seats are governed by their specific terms.
- No unauthorised access. You must not attempt to access subscription features or content to which your current subscription tier does not entitle you — including through circumventing technical access controls, using another subscriber's credentials, or exploiting platform vulnerabilities.
- No commercial misuse. Unless WBN has expressly authorised it in writing, you must not use subscriber access to WBN's content or intelligence products for commercial redistribution, resale, or systematic extraction for use in competing products or services.
- Respect for intellectual property. Subscriber access to WBN's content does not transfer any intellectual property rights in that content. Your rights as a subscriber are a licence to access and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes, as described in Section 9. WBN's Copyright & IP Policy applies in full to all subscriber use of content.
Paid and premium subscription tiers provide access to content and features that are not available to free subscribers — including exclusive editorial content, intelligence reports, archived material, AI-powered summaries, and other subscriber-only features as described for your tier.
Access to premium subscriber content is provided under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the duration of your active subscription. This licence permits you to read, view, save, and use premium content for your own personal or internal business research purposes. It does not permit you to reproduce, distribute, republish, or share premium content beyond what is expressly permitted under applicable fair dealing provisions.
Premium content accessed through your WBN subscription is for your personal use and, where applicable, the internal use of your organisation under an enterprise subscription. You may share individual articles through WBN's designated sharing features — social sharing links, gift articles where available, and similar features that WBN makes available for this purpose. These features are the appropriate channels for sharing subscriber content, and their use does not require additional permission.
- Do not systematically download, copy, or archive subscriber-only content beyond your personal needs.
- Do not publish, post, or distribute premium content on external websites, newsletters, or platforms without a licence from WBN.
- Do not use subscriber access to WBN's intelligence products to populate competing databases, feeds, or intelligence platforms.
- Do not remove, alter, or circumvent any copyright or attribution notices on premium content.
Premium content is provided to subscribers as of the date of access. WBN does not guarantee that any specific piece of content will remain available indefinitely. Content may be updated, corrected, removed, or archived in accordance with our editorial standards and legal obligations. WBN's Corrections Policy governs changes to published content.
WBN is an AI-enabled platform. Depending on your subscription tier, you may have access to AI-assisted features that enhance your experience — including personalised content recommendations, intelligent summaries, AI-powered search and discovery, SignalCast™ intelligence feeds, and other AI-enabled tools as they are developed and introduced.
- Personalised recommendations. AI analyses your reading patterns and stated preferences to surface content most relevant to your interests. Personalisation logic is explained in our Responsible AI Policy.
- Intelligent summaries. AI-generated summaries of articles, reports, and intelligence content are provided as a convenience for subscribers. They are not substitutes for the full content and are clearly identified as AI-generated.
- AI Edition features. AI Edition subscribers receive access to WBN's most advanced AI-powered editorial tools, including PromptCast™ outputs, enhanced signal feeds, and priority access to new AI features as they launch.
- Evolving capabilities. AI features across all subscription tiers will evolve as WBN's technology develops. Significant new AI capabilities will be described in subscriber communications before or at the time of launch.
AI-powered features on WBN's platforms are designed to assist and inform — not to replace professional judgment. Nothing provided by WBN's AI systems constitutes legal, financial, investment, medical, or other professional advice. AI summaries and intelligence outputs may contain errors or omissions and should be assessed critically before being relied upon for consequential decisions. WBN's human editorial teams review AI outputs in accordance with our Responsible AI Policy, but no system is infallible. Human editorial oversight is maintained over all AI-generated content, but subscribers should verify information of material importance through additional sources.
WBN communicates with subscribers for a range of purposes. Some communications are necessary for the administration of your subscription and cannot be opted out of while your account is active. Others are optional and can be managed through your account preferences.
The following communications are necessary for the administration of your subscription and will be sent regardless of your marketing preferences:
- Account confirmation and registration notices
- Billing notifications, payment confirmations, and renewal reminders
- Subscription change confirmations — upgrades, downgrades, cancellations
- Security notices — suspected unauthorised access, password changes, and similar
- Material updates to this Agreement, our Privacy Policy, or our Terms & Conditions
- Service interruption and maintenance notices where these affect your subscription access
The following are optional and can be managed through your account settings:
- Editorial newsletters and content digests
- Breaking news alerts and intelligence notifications
- Product updates and new feature announcements
- Subscriber event invitations and community communications
- Marketing communications about WBN products and services
You can update your communication preferences at any time through your account settings or by following the unsubscribe instructions in any optional email. Unsubscribing from optional communications does not affect your subscription access or essential service communications.
WBN's handling of subscriber personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of the framework within which this Agreement operates. By subscribing, you acknowledge that WBN will collect and process your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriber information — including your account details, subscription history, and usage patterns — is used to provide your subscription, communicate with you about your account, personalise your experience where you have enabled personalisation, and improve WBN's products and services. WBN does not sell subscriber personal information to third parties. Subscriber data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy law, including Canada's PIPEDA and other laws applicable to your jurisdiction.
You have rights with respect to your personal information — including the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data — as described in our Privacy Policy. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@wbnn.news.
WBN may suspend or terminate a subscriber's access to subscription services in the circumstances described below. Our approach is proportionate — we seek to warn and correct before restricting access, except where the conduct involved requires immediate action.
- Breach of this Agreement. Violation of the terms of this Agreement — including the acceptable use provisions in Section 8 — may result in suspension pending investigation or termination.
- Violation of WBN's Terms & Conditions or Community Guidelines. Conduct that violates WBN's broader platform terms may result in subscriber account suspension or termination.
- Payment failure. Persistent failure to resolve a payment issue after WBN has attempted to contact you and provided a reasonable period to cure the failure.
- Fraud or misrepresentation. Providing false account information, engaging in fraudulent payment behaviour, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation.
- Security concerns. Where WBN has reason to believe that an account has been compromised and poses a risk to WBN's systems or to other subscribers, we may suspend access while the matter is investigated and secured.
- Legal requirements. Where WBN is required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory direction to suspend or terminate an account.
Where practicable, WBN will notify you of the reason for suspension and give you an opportunity to address it before termination. Where immediate suspension is required — due to security concerns, fraud, or serious misconduct — notice may follow the suspension rather than precede it. Termination decisions can be appealed by contacting subscribers@wbnn.news.
Upon termination of your subscription, your access to paid subscription features ends immediately. Outstanding payment obligations remain due. Where termination is initiated by WBN due to breach, no refund of prepaid subscription fees is payable. Where termination is due to circumstances within WBN's control — such as WBN discontinuing a service — WBN will provide a prorated refund of prepaid fees for the unexpired portion of the billing period.
WBN's subscription services evolve continuously. We introduce new features, retire features that are no longer fit for purpose, update our platforms, and respond to changes in the media and technology environment. This is part of operating a living digital platform rather than a static product.
Where we make changes that materially reduce the benefits of your paid subscription — for example, removing a significant feature or content category that formed a core part of your tier — we will provide at least 30 days notice by email before the change takes effect. You will have the option to cancel your subscription before the change takes effect and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
Changes that add new features, improve existing features, or have no material negative effect on your subscription access do not require advance notice, though we aim to communicate significant positive changes as well. We may also modify this Agreement periodically — when we do, we will notify you as described in the Terms & Conditions. Continued use of your subscription after changes to this Agreement take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
WBN invests in maintaining reliable, high-availability subscription services and commits to the security and business continuity practices described in our Data Security Statement™. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of our subscription services at all times.
Service availability may be affected by planned maintenance — which we will communicate in advance where practicable — as well as by unplanned technical issues, security incidents, internet infrastructure failures, force majeure events, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where a significant unplanned service disruption affects paid subscribers, WBN will communicate the issue and estimated resolution timeline through our status channels and, where appropriate, will consider service credits or other remediation for material disruptions.
WBN's subscription services are provided "as available" during any period of disruption. Limitation of service availability due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances outside WBN's reasonable control does not constitute a breach of this Agreement and does not entitle subscribers to a refund unless the disruption is sustained, material, and attributable to WBN's failure to maintain reasonable service standards.
WBN is committed to providing responsive support to our subscribers. If you have a question, concern, or issue related to your subscription, the right contact channel depends on the nature of your enquiry.
