Consultant Guide

The writer's guide to WBN Publishing Partner™
1
Your Role
You are a
Publishing Partner Consultant.

As a WBN Publishing Partner Consultant, you are the craft behind the client's name. Your role is to take what a client knows — their expertise, their stories, their insights — and turn it into professionally developed content that sounds exactly like them and publishes at a standard that reflects well on WBN and on the client's reputation.

You are not a ghostwriter. You are a Publishing Partner Consultant — a professional who partners with business leaders and experts to develop their voice into published content. The distinction matters. You are not invisible. You are a skilled professional doing sophisticated editorial work.

Your Expertise. Our Words. Real Results.™
You are the 'our words' in that promise.
Your Core Responsibilities
Conduct structured content sessions with clients using their Voice Profile as your guide
Research each article topic using WBN's AI-assisted research process
Draft professionally developed articles that sound like the client — not like AI output
Apply editorial review before any draft reaches the client or Account Owner
Create the full social media suite for each article
Deliver within the agreed turnaround window
Maintain the client's Voice Profile and update it after every session
2
The Voice Profile
The most important
document you will ever read.

The Voice Profile is your primary tool. It is created at client onboarding from the Client Onboarding Form and your first content session. Every article you develop for a client must reference and reflect this profile.

What the Voice Profile Contains
  • Client's name, profession, business, and audience description
  • Their stated professional tone (e.g. authoritative, warm, direct, conversational)
  • Three words describing their professional voice
  • Their core expertise areas and preferred topics
  • Topics or language they want to avoid
  • Examples of content they have previously produced or admired
  • Platform preferences and publishing goals
How to Use the Voice Profile
  • Read the full Voice Profile before every article session — without exception
  • Use it to calibrate your language, sentence length, and perspective
  • If the client uses short declarative sentences in their examples, match that rhythm
  • If they are formal, do not write casually. If they are warm, do not write like a corporate memo
  • After every session, update the Voice Profile with any new insights about their voice
3
The AI-Assisted Research Process
AI does the research.
You do the thinking.

WBN Publishing Partner™ uses AI-assisted research as part of every article development process. This is not AI writing — it is AI supporting a human editorial process. Understanding the difference is essential to the quality of your work.

What AI Does
Gathers supporting information, data, and context for the client's topic
Helps identify relevant examples, statistics, and third-party references
Assists with SEO keyword research and headline options
Supports the structural outline before you begin drafting
What You Do
Conduct the content session and capture the client's actual voice and ideas
Apply editorial judgment to every piece of AI-generated research
Write the article draft in the client's voice — not in AI output style
Review the draft as an editor before it leaves your hands
Create the social media suite with platform-native copy
The client's ideas are primary. AI research is supporting. Your editorial judgment is the quality control. Never reverse that order.
4
The Writing Process
Eight steps to a
publication-ready article.

Every article you develop for a WBN Publishing Partner™ client follows this eight-step process. Do not skip steps. The quality of the final article is directly related to how thoroughly you follow this process.

1
Receive the Brief
Review the client Voice Profile and the article brief from the Account Owner. Clarify anything before starting.
2
Research Phase
Use AI-assisted research to gather supporting information, data, and context for the article topic.
3
Structure the Piece
Outline the article: opening hook, 2–3 core insights, supporting detail, strong close. Never start writing before structuring.
4
Draft the Article
Write in the client's voice using the session content as your primary source. AI assists research — the voice is always the client's.
5
Human Review Pass
Read the entire draft aloud. Does it sound like the client? Is the opening strong enough? Does the close land? Revise before submitting.
6
Apply SEO
Integrate relevant keywords naturally. Confirm the headline is compelling and search-aware. Add a meta description if required.
7
Create the Social Suite
Write each social piece from scratch — not repurposed from the article. Match the tone and format of each platform.
8
Submit for Review
Send the complete package (article + social suite) to the Account Owner before client delivery.
5
Editorial Standards
The standard you
are held to.

Every article published under a client's byline on WBN News is a reflection of that client's professional reputation and of WBN's editorial credibility. The standard is consistent and non-negotiable.

Voice Standards
The article must sound like the client — read it aloud and ask: could they have said this themselves?
Avoid generic business language: "in today's fast-paced world" or "it goes without saying" are red flags
Avoid obvious AI output patterns: lists of three balanced points, overly even sentence lengths, hollow transitions
Specific is always better than general. A real example beats a theoretical one
Structure Standards
Opening: must earn the reader within two sentences. No slow starts.
Body: 2–3 core insights with supporting detail. Not a listicle unless the client specifically wants one.
Close: leave the reader with one clear takeaway, call to action, or forward-looking idea
Length: 500–900 words standard. Do not pad. Do not cut substance.
Publication Standards
No attribution to WBN, to you personally, or to any AI tool — anywhere in the article
All statistics and data must be verifiable — do not include unverifiable claims
No content that conflicts with WBN's editorial ethics: accuracy, fairness, accountability
No promotional language for the client's own services within the article body
6
The Social Media Suite
Five platforms.
Five distinct pieces.
None are copy-paste.

The social media suite is not a shortened version of the article. Each piece is written specifically for its platform — matching the format, tone, and audience expectations of that channel. A LinkedIn post is not a Facebook post with a different logo.

Platform-by-Platform Standards
LinkedIn
1,200–1,500 characters. Professional, insightful tone. Lead with the strongest takeaway. End with an open question to invite comment.
Facebook
200–400 words. Warmer, more community-oriented tone. Tell a short story. Invite conversation. Avoid corporate language.
X / Twitter
Thread of 5–7 tweets OR a single compelling post. Each tweet = one self-contained idea. Open with the most provocative or interesting line.
Instagram
150–300 words. Strong opening hook in the first line (visible before 'more'). Include 5–10 relevant hashtags.
Newsletter
2–3 sentences only. Tease the insight. Drive to the WBN article link. Never summarize the whole article — make them click.
7
Quality Checklist
Before anything
leaves your hands.

Use this checklist before submitting every article and social suite to the Account Owner. Nothing is delivered to a client without passing this review.

Quality Standard
The article is based entirely on the client's Voice Profile and session content
The opening paragraph hooks the reader within the first two sentences
The article reads in the client's voice — not generic, not AI-flat
Every claim or statistic has been verified through AI-assisted research
The article is 500–900 words (or the agreed long-form length)
SEO considerations have been applied — natural keyword integration, strong headline
No WBN, personal, or AI tool attribution anywhere in the article
Two rounds of revision offered — no more without Account Owner approval
Delivery format matches client preference (plain text / Word / HTML)
Social suite created and ready to deliver with the article
Social copy is platform-native — not copy-pasted from the article
Article submitted to Account Owner for final review before client delivery
If you are not confident the article sounds exactly like the client — it is not ready. Send it back through one more editorial pass before submitting.
