Customer Download Reset

Production will search the customer's entitlement and reset the one-download allowance server-side while retaining the audit history.

Architecture & Setup

Ghost — hosts and presents this HTML storefront.

Cloudflare Worker — secure API, authorization, entitlement checks and one-download enforcement.

Supabase/Postgres — users, publications, authors, entitlements, reading progress and download audit records.

Private Object Storage — original publication files. Never expose a permanent public PDF URL.

JSONBin — optional lightweight non-sensitive configuration only.

Critical Rule

The browser demonstration currently uses localStorage. In production, ownership and download counts must be enforced on the server through Cloudflare and Supabase. Never trust a browser-side counter for download security.

Core Data Model

Users → Entitlements → Publications. A free acquisition creates an entitlement. Future paid checkout will create the same entitlement only after successful payment.
